Start with troubleshooting — it covers the things that actually go wrong. If that does not help, open an issue and include what the Diagnostics screen shows.

Supporting development

PhonePad is free and open source, and the controller is not going behind a paywall. There is no premium tier holding your D-pad hostage.

It is also a side project, built and maintained by one person in evenings. If it saved you buying a controller — or saved you the annoyance of one being in the wrong room — you can help pay for the time.

Sponsorship links are not set up yet. Until they are, a star on the repository genuinely helps — it is most of how anyone finds a project like this.

• Tell someone. The people who need PhonePad are the ones who do not know it exists.
• Report what breaks. A precise bug report is worth more than a donation.
• Share a layout. A tuning that works for a specific game is knowledge nobody else has.
